Our History

The Meridian Foundation has been providing housing for Seniors since 1960. The Foundation originally consisted of a Lodge called the Meridian Lodge.

  • In 1980 Alberta Rose Manor was built consisting of 20 Independent Living Units.
  • In 1984 Diamond Jubilee Manor was added to the portfolio with 45 Independent Living Units.
  • In 1990 Meridian Pioneer Manor was opened with an additional 36 Independent Living Units.
  • Also in 1990 a new 60 unit lodge was built, Whispering Waters Manor and the old Meridian Lodge was demolished.
  • In 1992 Spruce Haven Manor located in the City of Spruce Grove joined the Foundation adding another 30 Independent Living Units.
  • In 2007, Forest Ridge Place a 42 unit Affordable Housing complex was added to Whispering Waters Manor.
  • In 2011, Foster Manor and in 2015, Parkview Manor located in the Village of Wabamun were added to the Meridian Foundation Portfolio of Senior Housing Options.
